Last night I was honoured to play at a special memorial gig in honour of North West promoter Jim Minall. What a totally unforgettable night it was. One of the nicest men you'll ever meet Jim was a top friend to musicians like myself and his "Friends of Folk" shows were 2nd to none.
A packed audience paid their respects with an incredible line-up (all giving their services free) including my old friend Ken Nicol, the *incredible* Rick Kemp, Maddy Prior, Feast of Fiddles, Chris and Siobhan Nelson. and all beautifully organised by Jim's sweetheart Jean in aid of St Catherine's Hospice.
End of an era but the music and memories will go on #RIPJim. See you at the next show folks, Newton Village Hall on Dec 10th!! B x x x
